Dendrocalamus sericeus and in Thai as ไไผ่ซางหม่น) is highly valued for its thick, sturdy culms and ornamental cinnamon-colored new shoots, it is a versatile resource for construction, furniture, edible shoots, and for an ornamental garden landscape feature.
Imported April/2011 into USDA quarantine.
